Lincoln Art Exchange is an artist-specific healthcare program at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx. They offer a unique option for eligible NYC-based artists who do not have health insurance to exchange their creative services for comprehensive healthcare.
The Artist Access program at Brooklyn's Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center allows artists, through performances or interactive programs for patients, to exchange their art for health care credits, which are accrued in the artist’s personal account. Each hour of work is worth 40 credits, and credits can be used in lieu of dollars to cover sliding scale fees in Woodhull’s HHC Options program.
