The Office of Elder Care coordinates the state's long-term care resources and services for older adults and adults with disabilities.
Prescription Advantage is a prescription drug insurance plan that assists residents age 65 and older, and younger low-income individuals with disabilities in affording their medications. The plan is based on income level and whether an individual has Medicare or creditable coverage.
The West Virginia Long Term Care Ombudsam is one who speaks on behalf of others. The postion advocates residents' rights and quality care in nursing facilities, personal care homes, residential board and care homes, and similar long-term care facilities; Investigates complaints on behalf of residents about long-term care and services; Monitors the long-term care system and makes appropriate recommendations for improvements
This program provides nursing services to the senior population who, without them, might be institutionalized. Some of the services provided include homemaker services, private duty nursing, adult day care, nutrition, specialized medical equipment, emergency response system, medication administration in assisted living, and respite care.

The Executive Office on Aging offers a number of health programs to elderly residents. Programs and services include Senior Medicare Patrol Hawaii (SMP Hawaii), the Sage PLUS Program (provides free health insurance information, education, counseling, and a referral service for adults age 60 and older), The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP), In-Home and Community-Based Services, and the Family Caregiver Support Program.

South Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging (SCKAAA) provides funding for a variety of in-home care services aimed at keeping older Kansans in their homes as long as possible. These programs may include personal care, homemaker services, respite care, chore services, and a host of other life supporting services.
